HELLO!
The Feast is where I think out loud about consumer discovery and purchase journeys in the age of agentic commerce and help brands think strategically about how to maintain equity in an increasingly agent-driven world.
About Me
I’ve spent 25+ years in marketing, payments, and platforms — including nine years at Visa and two at Meta/Instagram — watching friction disappear from commerce one tap at a time.
Optimization was always billed as progress and friction is our enemy, but in the last few years, I’ve had my doubts.
I named my consultancy Banquet because I believe life should be a feast — abundant, diverse, beautiful, lived. Now algorithms are optimizing away the experiences that made it worth coming to the table.
The thesis is simple: Discovery requires agency, surprise, and value. Agentic commerce removes two of those three. What’s left isn’t discovery — it’s retrieval. Useful. But not the same thing.
I write for marketers, brand builders, and anyone who suspects that efficiency isn’t the only thing worth optimizing for.
If you’ve ever felt like something important is being lost in the rush toward frictionless everything — welcome, you’re in good company.
